FIRST OFF. For people just stumbling upon my page and are thinking about joining.. do it. It's open to anyone and everyone that wants to join!


This time around the contest will be what I have been pondering: There will be two parts!

Character costume design & character drawing!

I just decided to do both, because I can't decide for the life of me /cut

Anyway, on with the information;




Character costume design;
You know my characters Maho, Chiyo, and Ren? Yes, they need new outfits. It's not that I don't like the ones that they are in, but the outfits don't fit their time line or universe. x:

Their time line is set equivalent to our Middle Ages. However, it is slightly steampunk, as they have already discovered the use of such inventions (yay travel!). My idea is slightly like the world of which Hitomi travels to in Escaflowne.

I have since changed the way the look, but only a tad. Please consider this when you design their outfits.

Maho is still 13, so make her outfit tasteful. Chiyo is in her late teens, but dresses like a boy for political reasons. And Ren is just a bitch. Have fun with her! XD

Character Drawing!
You know them, you've read about, you may have written a story about them, but now you get to draw them!

But.. April.. who the hell are you talking about?

Why, the summoners, of course! C:

Yuka;


Named after Yuna, because I have no originality, lol. She is about 20-22 and enjoys traveling. She mainly travels alone, but likes to summon her (water)dog to keep her company on those long trips. She loves eating exotic foods and enjoys all kinds of music.

She is in search of that something that everyone seems to be after. It makes the journey long and difficult, but with her water-summoning prowess, she believes that she can make it.

She dances to summon her creatures.

Kuroi;


Her name, meaning black, is associated with her ability to summon black-fire beasts. She is also 20-22, but does not enjoy traveling. She can only stand it so much, but she can go through with it as long as Kazuo is by her side (even though she won't admit it). Kuroi enjoys anything expensive. She is very greedy, and will do whatever it takes to have her way.

She sings to summon her creatures.

Kazuo;


He became Kuroi's right hand man before she even started her travel. He is in his late 20's. He loves traveling just about as much as Yuka. He is very sweet and kindhearted, the opposite of Kuroi. He enjoys his time with Kuroi and savors every minute of it (aw, what a cutie).

Unlike the other two, he has to keep his object of summoning on him; his guitar. He summons lightning-based beasts.

-The quality is that of a scrap, and does not look like you put your all in it (basically, if you didn't try, why bother with a contest at all?)
-It is tasteless. It MUST abide by deviantART's rules. I refuse to accept loli and I will report it. ):
